Sleepless Night V. 1

It’s a little past 2 o’clock in the morning when I started writing this. By the time I finish, who knows what time it will be. But maybe writing something will help take my mind away from the worries of the day and find me the sleep I desire.

Well, might as well start a tradition. Isn’t that what bloggers try to do, establish a habit?

Every sleepless night, I’ll write something. Anything. Who gives a care in the world what it is? As long as I am keeping myself actively writing, it’s good, right?

So, time to find myself a random writing prompt. Today’s prompt is coming to us from: http://jc-schools.net/write/create.

After a few clicks on the random button, it read this.

“If I were an animal, I would be a. . . “

Well, if I were an animal I would have to be a . . . hmm. You wouldn’t think a question like this would be a very hard one to answer. Most young children would be able to answer it on the spot.

But if I had to choose, I would have to be a Bird of Pardise

You know, those crazy looking birds that hide out on the island of New Guinea, the ones that do all those weird calls and dances in futile attempts to woo female birds? Yeah, those guys. Because I like to think that I am somewhat like a bird of paradise. In no sense do I think I’m the most handsomest guy around, nor do I think that I am better than anybody else.

However, I do think that I am my own person, that I am a “bird of paradise” in personality and spirit. That I am exotic in ways that only I can truly understand.
